Mindfulness Retreat 15th – 19th May 2017

We are delighted to offer a unique opportunity to join us for a mindfulness retreat in the beautiful British countryside with world-renowned mindfulness pioneers Dr. Joel and Michelle Levey.

This 5-Day retreat is a teacher led mindfulness retreat intended to explore and deepen personal practice. It is suitable for both mindfulness practitioners and teachers. It will draw on the practices and teachings in Mindfulness, Meditation and Mind-fitness. There will be guided practices, talks, and opportunity to ask questions and discuss. Importantly, this retreat provides the chance to step out of our busy lives and have the space and quiet to think, reflect and learn.

For those who wish, daily yoga sessions will be available and led by a fully qualified yoga teacher.

The Ammerdown Centre is set in idyllic Somerset countryside and is easily accessed being located 12 miles from Bath.

Accommodation: single en-suite rooms.

Catering: Food is freshly prepared every day on the premises, with a strong emphasis on organic food and on products sourced locally. Specialist diets such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten free can be catered for.



Dr. Joel and Michelle Levey are founders of Wisdom at Work and are based in Seattle and Hawaii. They work with organisations and communities both in the USA and internationally to inspire people in these turbulent and rapidly changing times to deepen their wisdom, curiosity, compassion, resilience, and creativity.

They are pioneers in the field and bring an unparalleled level of expertise having started in the 1970s to bring mindfulness and contemplative science into mainstream business, medicine, higher education, sports, and government arenas.

Over the past 40 years they have worked extensively with thousands of leaders and hundreds of organisations around the globe developing, implementing programmes and contributing to research. Clients include: NASA, World Bank, Google, Intel, NHS, NIH, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, U.S. Army Special Forces, World Business Academy, Stanford Research Institute and MIT, to name a few. The Leveys also serve as faculty members at University of Minnesota Medical School where they teach a special program on Mindfulness, Contemplative Science, and Clinical Practice.

The Dalai Lama has supported their work and they are authors of numerous published works including: Mindfulness, Meditation, and Mind-Fitness; Living in Balance: A Mindful Guide for Thriving in a Complex World; and Wisdom at Work. Their expertise was sought in the UK to act as advisors for the Mindfulness All-Parliamentary Group (MAPPG) and they are currently acting as consultants within the field of healthcare.

They have a thriving community of practitioners built from their programmes, teachings and retreats. It is a privilege for us to be able to offer this retreat with such eminent and wise teachers.
